Today, a major event unfolded as the Market Supervision Administration convened a conference in Beijing focused on the industrial application and quality enhancement of domestic automotive chips, specifically under the theme “Strengthening Quality in the Supply Chain.”

During the meeting, attendees were presented with the inaugural list of certified domestic automotive chip manufacturers, signaling a significant advancement in China’s automotive chip quality certification process. Additionally, the 1.0 version of the automotive chip certification technical framework was officially unveiled. This framework lays the groundwork for a comprehensive certification standard system that spans the entire automotive chip supply chain — from design and manufacturing to packaging testing and vehicle application.

The meeting also introduced initial models for functional and reliability testing methods tailored for domestic automotive environments, alongside reliability benchmarking techniques for automotive chips. A reliability testing checklist was established, covering 44 key projects classified into 7 groups. Furthermore, research into chip design requirements and reliability review standards for automotive chips was carried out, addressing a critical gap in the domestic quality certification landscape and paving the way for efficient collaboration and innovative growth within the industry.
