Recently, Ningxia has launched the “100-Day Battle” implementation plan aimed at achieving the province’s annual development goals. This initiative is set to address the economic challenges faced by the region and ensure the completion of various performance indicators for this year.
In our interview, a spokesperson for Ningxia’s United Front Work Department elaborated on how they have leveraged their extensive connections and intellectual resources to support the “100-Day Battle.” They have encouraged diverse political parties to focus on specific research topics including the development of the tourism industry, promoting people-centered urbanization, and strengthening project transformation to enhance effective investments.
Additionally, they’ve formed 24 expert service teams involving non-party intellectuals to focus on emerging industries and unique features of Ningxia’s economy. There has also been a push for large-scale equipment upgrades, with the Ningxia Industrial and Information Research Institute coordinating a matchmaking event that connected nearly 200 local companies with financial institutions, resulting in a total transaction value of approximately 2.57 billion yuan. Moreover, Tongxin County People’s Hospital has successfully secured several key projects, enhancing technological benefits and nurturing scientific research in the region.
The department has actively promoted the “Tongxin Science and Innovation Project,” hosting the Northwest Five Provinces Forum on Comprehensive Utilization of Salinized Land and collaborating with Beijing’s experts in healthcare initiatives. These efforts aim to establish critical research institutions like the Ningxia Graphene Research Institute and the Ningxia Modern Coal Chemical Industry Research Institute.
On the business support front, Ningxia has organized visits from entrepreneurs from Zhejiang, Fujian, Hubei, and Guangdong to foster connections and resolve issues hindering the high-quality growth of private enterprises. Participation in the 7th China International Import Expo has also been central to these efforts, aimed at facilitating collaboration between regional and external private sectors.
Furthermore, the “Ten Thousand Enterprises Boosting Ten Thousand Villages” initiative was highlighted during a recent conference, where successful case studies were shared to encourage local business leaders to embrace their social responsibilities and contribute to rural revitalization.
Currently, the Ningxia United Front is engaged in three major support actions focusing on contributing to high-quality development, social governance, and improving livelihoods. They are also promoting three targeted service initiatives to bolster policies, strengthen development services, and enhance connectivity for private enterprises.
This multifaceted approach underscores Ningxia’s commitment to not only achieving its economic targets but also fostering a collaborative environment that benefits all sectors of society.
