On October 15, the First New Era Regoong Thangka Art High-Quality Development Forum kicked off at the Regoong Thangka Art Museum in Tongren City, Huangnan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Qinghai Province. Over 60 experts and scholars from various fields, both local and from afar, were invited to participate in this engaging event, focusing on the high-quality development of Regoong art.
During the forum, notable discussions took place, including insights shared by Chen Guoning, the Honorary Curator of the World Religious Museum in Taiwan. Thangka artists were seen diligently taking notes, capturing the rich discussions taking place around them.
A highlight of the event was the opportunity for participants to connect and commemorate their time together through a group photo. The Thangka artists also signed a commemorative wall, further adding a personal touch to the gathering.
Prominent figures in attendance included Shang Gang, a professor from Tsinghua University, who contributed to the dialogue with his expert perspectives. Attendees were also treated to a promotional video showcasing the beauty and significance of Regoong art, enriching their understanding of this cultural heritage.
