US media- Bill Gates has privately donated $50 million to support Harris
On October 23, sources cited by American media revealed that billionaire Bill Gates privately disclosed a donation of approximately $50 million to a nonprofit organization in support of Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris.
According to the Wall Street Journal, insiders indicated that Gates directed this sizable contribution to Future Forward. It appears that his children played a significant role in influencing his decision to donate.
However, it’s noteworthy that this donation was meant to be confidential, and Gates has not openly endorsed Harris.
A report from the New York Times, based on a private phone conversation, noted Gates’s cautious stance regarding former President Donald Trump’s potential re-election, while he emphasized his willingness to work with any presidential candidate.
Requests for comment from Gates’s private office, his philanthropic organization the Gates Foundation, and representatives from Future Forward have gone unanswered.
