During a recent interview, Prince George, the 11-year-old heir to the British throne, shared an unexpected aspiration for his future. Contrary to what many might guess, George revealed that he dreams of becoming a pizza chef rather than a king or a pilot.
According to reports from the Daily Mail, Prince George was dining with his mother, Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, and friends at Wiveton Hall café in Norfolk. During their visit, he expressed a keen interest in the pizza oven, enthusiastically declaring, “This is what I want to do when I grow up.” Desmond MacCarthy, the café owner, noted George’s excitement as he gazed at the oven, describing him as a “lovely boy.”
George has demonstrated his passion for pizza in the past, having been photographed enjoying a slice during a cricket match last year. His fondness for the dish is well-known among his family. In addition to pizza, he is also drawn to aviation, as he recently completed his first helicopter flight lesson during the summer with the guidance of an instructor. Prince William, the Prince of Wales, expressed hopes that George would have the chance to explore various interests before taking on royal duties.
Kate has mentioned that all three of her children—George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—enjoy cooking. She shared that George and Charlotte love making pizzas together, especially the hands-on experience of kneading the dough, as it allows them to get “messy.” In 2022, to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee, Kate and the children even made cupcakes together.
