On October 20, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić had a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, marking their first discussion in over two and a half years.
In a statement on social media, Vučić expressed his gratitude to President Putin for ensuring that Russia will provide sufficient natural gas to Serbia this winter. He emphasized that despite Serbia being a candidate for EU membership, the country will maintain its stance of not imposing sanctions on Russia.
Additionally, Vučić noted that during their conversation, they exchanged views on all significant bilateral issues, including economic matters. He described the discussion as open and rich in content, stating that it would help foster the development of Serbia-Russia relations and enhance mutual trust.
