According to a report from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs on October 24, the “Agricultural Product Wholesale Price Index” has registered at 127.57, showing a decrease of 0.23 points from the previous day. Meanwhile, the wholesale price index for “basket” products stands at 129.78, down by 0.19 points.
As of 2:00 PM today, the average wholesale prices for various meat products in the national markets are as follows: pork has increased to 24.83 yuan per kilogram, up by 0.5%; beef is at 61.03 yuan per kilogram, decreasing by 0.3%; lamb is priced at 58.37 yuan per kilogram, down by 0.5%; eggs are selling for 10.58 yuan per kilogram, which is an increase of 0.6%; and whole chickens are priced at 18.18 yuan per kilogram, up by 1.3%.
In terms of vegetables, the average price for 28 key monitored varieties is now at 5.50 yuan per kilogram, down by 0.4%. Conversely, the average price for 6 kinds of fruits has risen to 7.28 yuan per kilogram, which is an increase of 1.4%. Additionally, specific fish prices reflect a range of changes: crucian carp is at 20.54 yuan per kilogram, down by 0.5%; carp has risen to 14.57 yuan per kilogram, increasing by 2.5%; white catfish is at 10.06 yuan per kilogram with a slight increase of 0.1%; while large yellow croaker has decreased to 39.23 yuan per kilogram, down by 1.9%.
In the wholesale markets for fresh agricultural products, among the 46 key monitored varieties today, the five with the highest price increases compared to yesterday are large yellow croaker and pineapple, both up by 3.8%, followed by giant grapes at 2.9%, carp at 2.5%, and yellow catfish at 1.4%. On the other hand, the five varieties with the greatest price declines are rapeseed at 3.7%, cabbage at 3.2%, carrots at 2.5%, zucchini at 2.4%, and lettuce at 2.3%.
