On October 23, 2023, in Quzhou, China, it was announced that the 2024 Quzhou Keshan Lingjiu Mountain Ancient Trail Ultra Trail Race will take place from October 26 to 27 in Quzhou, Zhejiang Province. The organizers shared that this year’s event has attracted over 1,650 participants from 29 provinces across China, nearly doubling the number of participants compared to previous years.

The race features four categories: 100 kilometers, 60 kilometers, 40 kilometers, and 15 kilometers. Notably, the 100-kilometer route boasts a total elevation gain of 7,255 meters and connects various distinctive natural and cultural attractions, including Lingjiu Sacred Realm, Taoyuan Qili, Dayinshan Forest Adventure Park, Jiuhua Miaoyuan, and Shuitingmen.

To enhance the participants’ experience, the local organizing committee has taken comprehensive measures to improve safety and support, including enhancements to the racecourse, network coverage, and personnel assurance. Safety measures include the installation of warning tape and barriers at water crossings, the construction of makeshift wooden bridges, and the installation of eight cliffside guardrails, totaling around 5,000 meters of warning tape and 25 new bridges.

Additionally, the race will feature 19 new communication stations to ensure full network coverage in mountainous areas, supplemented by a professional communication support team responsible for on-site network monitoring and emergency response.

Participants will be equipped with GPS devices, chip number bibs, and wristbands. There will be ten aid stations along the route, supported by approximately 500 staff and volunteers dedicated to ensuring the safety and service of both participants and spectators.

The Quzhou Keshan Lingjiu Mountain Ancient Trail Ultra Trail Race has been held successfully six times since its inception in 2017. It was recognized as a key brand sporting event in Zhejiang Province in 2021.
