On October 15, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs released its latest findings regarding wholesale prices for agricultural products. According to their monitoring, the Agricultural Product Wholesale Price Index is currently at 130.88, reflecting a decrease of 0.43 points from yesterday. The “vegetable basket” product wholesale price index has dropped to 133.62, down by 0.53 points.
As of 2 PM today, the average wholesale price of pork across national markets stands at 24.89 yuan per kilogram, marking a 0.4% decrease compared to yesterday. In contrast, the price of beef has risen to 61.95 yuan per kilogram, up 0.3%, while lamb is now priced at 59.55 yuan per kilogram, representing a 1.4% increase. Eggs are selling for 10.33 yuan per kilogram, down 0.5%, whereas the price of whole chickens is up by 0.3%, currently at 17.99 yuan per kilogram.
Among the 28 types of vegetables being closely monitored, the average price is now 5.92 yuan per kilogram, a decline of 2.1%. Conversely, the average price of the 6 types of monitored fruits has increased by 0.4%, now at 7.32 yuan per kilogram. Notable changes in fish prices include a slight increase in crucian carp to 21.33 yuan per kilogram, up 1.3%, and carp at 14.73 yuan per kilogram, up 0.3%. However, the price of white catfish has decreased by 1.7% to 9.95 yuan per kilogram. The price for large ribbonfish stands at 41.04 yuan per kilogram, up by 0.5%.
In the domestic fresh produce market, among the 46 monitored varieties, the top five price increases compared to yesterday were seen in pineapple (2.2%), lamb (1.4%), crucian carp (1.3%), watermelon (1.2%), and grass carp (0.8%). Meanwhile, the largest price drops were recorded for cabbage (5.3%), cucumber (4.8%), enoki mushrooms (4.6%), spinach (4.4%), and Chinese cabbage (4.1%).
