Seven new civil lawsuits have been filed against Sean “Diddy” Combs in federal court in New York, with allegations from four men and three women claiming sexual assault at various parties in Los Angeles, New York, and Las Vegas. Notably, the youngest plaintiff was only 13 years old at the time of the alleged incident.
As it stands, Mr. Combs is in custody at a Brooklyn jail and is facing separate federal charges of sex trafficking and racketeering, charges he denies. We reached out to his legal team for comment on these new allegations. His lawyers have previously dismissed the recent lawsuits as attempts to gain publicity, asserting that “Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone—adult or minor, man or woman.”
Each of the seven civil cases alleges that Mr. Combs, either directly or through his associates, drugged alcoholic beverages at these events, resulting in symptoms like dizziness, nausea, and feelings of dissociation among the plaintiffs. Several lawsuits detail instances where plaintiffs accuse Mr. Combs of rape, forced oral sex, or aggressive groping.
Currently, Mr. Combs is awaiting a trial scheduled for May next year on federal charges related to sex trafficking and racketeering, which could result in a life sentence if he is convicted. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges and has been denied bail multiple times.
The indictments and lawsuits suggest that Mr. Combs’ business ventures may have facilitated and funded his alleged abusive behavior both within and outside the music industry. The lawsuits specifically accuse him of using his influence to manipulate, intimidate, and silence those around him.
Among the serious allegations, one case details an incident where Mr. Combs and another unknown male celebrity allegedly raped a 13-year-old girl following the 2000 VMAs. Another lawsuit claims that he drugged an independent musical artist at a party, leading to a terrifying experience where she allegedly awoke in pain with signs of having been bound while unconscious.
Additional allegations include a case in which Mr. Combs reportedly exposed himself to a man and engaged in unwanted sexual contact, as well as accusations of assaulting a celebrity personal trainer during a party at his Hollywood Hills home in 2022. The trainer asserts he witnessed several high-profile celebrities engaging in group sexual activities before being brought into a private area with Mr. Combs, who then allegedly performed non-consensual acts on him.
Other plaintiffs have come forward with similar stories, including a woman who claims she was drugged and woke to find herself in bed with Mr. Combs, and a man who alleges he experienced nausea and dizziness after consuming a drink at a party hosted by the rapper.
Overall, Mr. Combs has been facing nearly a year of serious allegations that encompass rape, sexual assault, grooming, and domestic violence, with one attorney recently stating that over 100 individuals are planning to sue him for similar offenses. He remains in jail while awaiting trial, facing additional allegations of kidnapping, forced labor, bribery, and other criminal activities. Prosecutors have described him as the head of an enterprise that used threats of violence to compel women to participate in drug-fueled orgies with male prostitutes. His trial is set for May 2025.
